| not much has been going on lately, school is good, wedding planning is survivable.....and somewhat fun! but i do have one question for my several loyal readers that might be out there.....
i took a history class last semester and got a C, which is passing, so whatever.....the tests were mortifying and i know that there were several trips to the dean regarding the fact that the instructor was lecturing purely through videos of other instructors for a good 4 weeks of class. tragic right? and were we tested on that stuff? no...the book.....no i read it ALLL......anyways that being said i survived the tests.....but there was also one term paper due. i love term papers, i prefer them over tests and i felt very confident in my paper (due week before final, and written especially good) i had it looked over by several people who all thought it was a wonderful paper.....i got a C......which is fine an A wouldn't bring up my grade much at all.......but the concept is that C was quite close to the average of my test scores....and after about 7 emails to the instructor and 2 replies promising me the paper delivered to my door via mr. mail man....it is still not at my door....should i email the chair of the department as well? that is one of my instructors this semester suggested......any ideas? (and i do edit my papers much better than my xanga.....what do you all think?)

i have passing C in geology if i don't take the final, so i should have a B
i have no idea what my current Sci1A grade is, but i should end up passing
history sucks.....i will work my butt off.....and probably not get the best grade ever and must make my trip to the dean

| so i have my car back, i am over finals, over the fact that one of my instructors had not lectured at all this year....at least nothing decent, and i totally hated the videos that are a result of laziness....it sucks......i have an A in Ch Dev, without taking the final, great, should pass science, should pass geology, history is up in the air, and my other class.....linguistics, almost forgot, looks like i will survive, stupid history and no time for a nap

| i decided that since i don't need all of facebook knowing my news, but becasue it is an event to be documented...that i would do that here...yay? doubtful
so sunday....i bought a new car, its beautiful, SUV and i love it, red, AUTOMATIC DOORS AND WINDOWS with a remote...pretty much the best thing in the world. California state law is that you have 2 days after the day of purchase to return the car....and for some reason my dealer gave me until 5pm on Wednesday. of course i was not planning on returning it because i carefully weighed everything before i got it.
so i have a 6pm class on Wednesday and got my paper double checked and printed at like 430, being starving and wanting to eat something before class, i left my house a little bit before five, no idea where to eat.....at like 510 pm on Wednesday i was rear ended.....10 minutes after i could have returned it....ug! so its a pain, there is bumper damage, obviously no previous damage.....it sucks!
but because i am the positive person that i strive to be, i will look at the bright side of the situation.
1. the car is still drivable
2. i don't need a rental (though i kind of want one...) because i have yet to sell my old car
3. it was the first accident both for me and the 18 year old behind the wheel
4. i like to think that i am a basically nice person, and i think i dealt with the situation pretty well (esspecialy considering i was alone because both my parents are out of town and i told Matt that i would rather he walk Oliver before i got to my house after class)
5. neither of us was injured, and i today still have no pain
6. i could have gotten out and yelled at her, but i am better than that, and don't need to do that, where as someone else would have, therefore her being lucky (sort of...?) to have gotten me rather than a jerk that is pretty much well a jerk that would have yelled at screamed and made her cry, and of course she was already upset
7. we both have good insurance to help take care of the situation
the odd thing is..because we live in a community that i honestly do consider stuck up, that no one stopped or pulled over to ask if we were ok, not even the people that i am sure saw it. the police also would not file a report because we were not injured (which is a good thing i suppose)
but i decided from now on, because it is the right thing to do, maybe even in a rear ending? let me know what you think of that one.....
but i will stop long enough at least to make srue that the people are okay if i see it, and give them my phone number if they should for any reason need a witness....but we were both okay and have good insurance so w didn't.....so the question is would it be helpful to stop for others hmmm?
i guess i found some sort of blessing in all of this
and now time for oprah.....yay!

| so yesterday i totally got 4 free burritos at chipotle....i know.....i cheated....byut my dad and matt each got two......and there was no line.... so kiddos tell me what you think of this.... i am in line at chipotle stop number two. sitting down at the cafe table and stirpping off their foil is a large group, with a lot of foil. behind me and my father are two girls....not in foil....and i begin discussing the foil free burrito thing with them. i being insane after the discussion turn and ask the large table full of excess foil if they would donate to the 2 girls behind me......they agreed, but the two girls did not want the foil and preceeded to spend around 6 dollars each for a burrito, or whatever they got....it was tragic maybe i am insane, but i love chipotle (and give them a lot of paying bussiness)so i was greatly disappointed in them, i have no problem degrading myself with a tad bit of foil for a free burrito....it was tragic.....thats my story! | | |
